Resources for your journey

We are not meant to grow in isolation and without tools and resources to help us move forward. I was sharing with a coaching friend that I felt stuck and unable to move forward. He brought up Jesus’ first miracle, turning water into wine, and he pointed out that Jesus didn’t just make the wine appear. First, He asked the servants to fill the jugs with water. Then he asked me, how can I fill the jugs in my own life - what is the work that I am not doing because I am too preoccupied with how it will be turned into wine? My mantra these last couple years has been ‘do the action, release the outcomes’ but this visual really stuck with me and I decided to create something to represent that. I wanted to have a reminder each day that my work is to fill the jugs with water. To do the work that has been given to me, is in my control and then leave it to Him to make the wine. Some people don’t need these visual cues or accountability tools but I do! And if you do as well and like me, also enjoy the dopamine hit of coloring something in to celebrate the work you accomplished that day, there’s a link below to download the whole sheet and print for yourself. Just tap on the water jug. I love this CS Lewis quote that I included with it and come back to it often. We can become so fixated on the past or wrapped up in guilt for past mistakes or inaction that we remain stuck in our present. What happened yesterday is done but He is inviting us to take action today, in this moment to sow growth, connection, health and even miracles for our future.

Also, artistic credit to my son Oliver who drew this image for me. I love the personal touch that brings to it. More resources and tools to come…

“By grace, you will have what you need, even on the days where it does not seem that way. May you hold onto this when things do not make sense, when you are waiting and waiting in a sea of unanswered questions. Even in this space, there is room to pursue peace.” -Morgan Harper Nichols

“Bravery is the audacity to be unhindered by failures and to walk with freedom, strength and hope in the face of things unknown.”
